Shawn Mendes Appeared Under Marshmello's Signature Mask at the 2018 iHeart Radio MMVAs
During the ceremony, Marshmello — the musician and producer who prefers to perform anonymously under a now-recognizable marshmallow mask — took the stage to accept the award for Best EDM/Dance Artist or Group. However, while on stage, Marshmello shocked everyone by removing his marshmallow head and revealing himself to be Shawn. He then said, “Woah! Hot in there. Well, thank you so much!” and shouted out Moe Shalizi, who is Marshmello’s manager, before making an exit.
